About Volunteering with Us

As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Assist with workshops on plant cultivation, upcycling, and natural dyeing

• Help organise community events

• Support our social media and outreach efforts

• Contribute to our sustainable fashion initiatives

Legal Information for Volunteers

As Community Interest Companies (CIC's), we are committed to ensuring that our volunteer program operates within legal guidelines:

1. Volunteer Agreement: All volunteers will be asked to sign a non-binding volunteer agreement. This outlines the expectations, roles, and responsibilities but does not constitute a contract of employment.

2. Expenses: We reimburse reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred during volunteering activities. Please keep receipts and submit them according to our expense policy.

3. Insurance: Each organisation has public liability insurance. As a volunteer, you may be required to have your own personal public liability insurance. This can often be more cost-effective and provides you with coverage across various volunteering activities. We will seek guidance on affordable options for personal public liability insurance if needed.

4. Health and Safety: We provide appropriate training and ensure a safe working environment for all volunteers. You will be briefed on health and safety procedures relevant to your role.

5. Data Protection: We comply with GDPR regulations. Your personal information will be kept confidential and used only for volunteer management purposes.

6. Equal Opportunities: We are committed to equal opportunities and do not discriminate based on age, gender, race, religion, or any other protected characteristic.

7. Safeguarding: If your role involves working with vulnerable adults or children, you may be required to undergo a DBS check.
